At the launch party for Fairhaven - A Novel of Climate Optimism one year ago, we were asked, “So when will you be putting out the audiobook version?”
As devotees of the printed page, we had never considered the option. However, we’re happy to give it a try. And while we do not yet have any Hollywood actors ready to perform for us, we also understand that a book read by the authors can have value, too.
As such, co-author Jan Lee has recorded a sample chapter - and we want feedback.
Could you listen to an entire audiobook with this voice? Or would it only be listenable with a professional actor? (We want brutal honesty!)
If you think it could work, do you have any specific comments or directions that the author should pay attention to?
Please note that if we were to pursue this option, we would be using a different studio to record and edit. As such, you don’t need to comment on the recording quality or editing.
